With domestic EV chargepoints we will install a new circuit/cable from your existing consumer unit/electric meter location to the EV chargepoint location. We will then install the chargepoint at the end of this cable.

Actual installation times vary but standard installation is usually completed in a day.

All electrical works carried out by voltEV are guaranteed for 6 years under the NAPIT Work Guarantee Scheme. Details can be found on the NAPIT website by clicking here.

The costs start from £500 with the maximum available government grant and standard installation.

The proposed charging point location and its proximity to your electricity meter will also need to be considered. Our team will help you make the correct decision in terms of location and best value.

Key Considerations When Choosing An EV Charger

Tethered or Untethered?

Do you want to be able to drive home and simply unwind the charger cable and plug your Electric Vehicle in? Do you have enough space for a tethered unit, untethered units such as the SyncEV are only available as untethered?

Do You Have Solar Panels?

If you have solar panels some EV Chargers can utilise surplus energy and divert it to your electric vehicle, free energy! Maybe you are thinking of having solar panels installed at a later date? voltEV can assist you with any solar panel installations through our close relationship with a local Solar PV installer.

Do You Need To Charge Customers Or Staff To Charge

If you are thinking of having a commercial charger installed under the Workplace Charge Scheme it is worth thinking about how these are going to be used. For Hotels and B&Bs you can create an additional revenue stream by installing EV Chargers for your guests.
